Leila Ahmad Laila
Leila Laila is the head of the Intellectual Property Practice Group.
She has extensive experience representing private companies in complex global business deals that involve intellectual property rights, franchising, distribution, media, entertainment and technology.
Leila provides international clients with advice on local laws and regulations and helps clients negotiate transactions including strategic collaborations, joint ventures, licenses, franchise related agreements, research and development agreements, manufacturing and distribution agreements, among others.
Leila has counseled a wide range of individuals and leading businesses, including newspapers, television and radio stations, production companies, publishers, arts organizations, and internationally-known authors and musicians.
Leila has participated as speaker in legal training courses organized by the Licensing Executive Society - LES - Arab Countries, and seminars and conferences including the Dubai Franchise exposition (Dubai FME), European Franchise Network Annual Meeting (EfN).
Leila Laila is a certified Trainer of the Licensing Executive Society (LES) - Arab Countries. Currently she is preparing a Franchising Guide for publication by LES - Arab Countries.
Leila holds a LL.B. and a LL.M, both from Sao Paula, Brazil (Sao Bernardo do Campo Faculty of Law & Pontifical Catholic University).
She speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish.
