Leila Laila
 

Leila Laila leads the Information Technology, Computer Law & Telecom Practice Group at Alem & Associates and also plays a significant role in the International Commercial Law Practice Group.

She advises on ICT related contracts and transactions providing strategic and regulatory advice in connection with a wide range of ICT systems, products and services procurement, development and provision contracts, outsourcing and network services contracts.

Her expertise extends to all regulatory aspects of e-commerce, e-government, e-banking, data privacy, encryption, digital signature, domain names, cyber crime, freedom of information, etc.

Leila acts for numerous technology, telecom and communication companies entering and diversifying into the Middle East including investors, telecom operators, Internet providers, equipment suppliers, cable and television operators, radio and television broadcasting, electronic media and electricity companies.

On a regular basis, and as part of the editorial board, Leila contributes with important informative articles on ICT legal issues for the electronic newsletter "the l.i.n.k", which brings the most updated information on ICT legal matters covering several countries around the world.

At the International Commercial Group, Leila advises clients on specific areas such as franchising, distribution and agency, joint ventures and service agreements.

She was accorded an Honorary Membership to the Association of Fellows and Legal Scholars of the Center for International Legal Studies (CILS).

Leila is a member of the Sao Paulo Bar Association. She was educated in Brazil Sao Bernardo do Campo Faculty of Law (LL.B) and Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo (LL.B. and LL.M in Commercial Law).
