Mohamed Y. Alem
Mohamed Alem acts as the Managing Partner of Alem & Associates and leads the International Trade and WTO, Mergers and Acquisitions, and the International Commercial Practice Groups.
With the broad experience and expertise acquired along the years of practice, Mohamed acts on and add value to several of our Practice Groups counseling on the major international commercial, corporate, ICT, financing and banking transactions undertaken by Alem & Associates.
He advises on Lebanese and Arab commercial laws and provides advice in connection with regional corporate structuring and related contracts.
In this respect, he has been advising clients on market entry strategies, franchise agreements, agency and distribution, mergers and acquisitions and aspects of Arab competition laws, including: investors, equipment and services suppliers, hotel chains, hypermarket operators, and other governmental agencies.
Mohamed Alem also advises service, business and commercial and investment banks in structuring and completing domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures and equity investments.
Mohamed is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA), the Computer Law Association (CLA) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Mohamed is an Arbitrator for the National Arbitration Forum acting as Qualified Domain Name Dispute Resolution Panelist. The National Arbitration Forum is an ICANN Approved Provider for Uniform Domain-Name Dispute Resolution Policy.
He was accorded a Honorary Membership to the Association of Fellows and Legal Scholars of the Center for International Legal Studies (CILS). He is also acting vice-chairman of the Licensing Executive Society - Arab Countries.
