Mustapha Omar El Assir

Mustapha El Assir currently handles the Administrative and Tax Law Practice at Alem & Associates.

After serving as governor of several regions in Lebanon, Mustapha has established knowledge of administrative law allowing him to counsel on administrative recourse and litigation as well as on legal and regulatory issues related to governmental sectors and agencies.

Mustapha also counsels on taxation law issues such as income and withhold tax, capital gains and other taxation systems and recently on issues related to VAT and sale taxes. He has extensive experience in tax litigation and other recourses before the Conseil d'Etat.

Mustapha holds a LL.B. from the Lebanese University as well as a B.A. in History and Political Science.

He was called to the Tripoli Bar in 1992.

Mr. El Assir speaks Arabic and French.
